Declaracion de Mision Mission Statement
Nosotros en Huey Tlahtokan~La Gran Palabra © estamos luchando para presentar un sito electronico para nuestra gente que esta buscando informacion sobre nuestra historia, identidad, filosophia, y conscencia hecho por la discussion y la defensa de nuestra cultura autoctona. Por mas de 512 anos, nuestra verdadera historia ha estado negacionado a nosotros. Durante este tiempo muchas mentiras, misinformacion, y misconcepciones han despedido a los Mexicanos, como gente indigena, en una luz negativa. Nuestros antepasados, los Mexicas o Aztecas, Purepechas, Mixtecos, Zapoteco's, Mayas, y Olmeca's, por ejemplo, eran unos de los primeros que crearon cuidades elaborados, universidades, bibliotecas, hospitales, zoologicos, y gardines botanicos. Ellos excellaron en las artes y ciencias, y tambien tenian un gran conocimiento de la Medicina. Inventaron la rueda, el concepto de cero, y muchas otras cosas que probablemente nunca van ha recibir credito por esos cosas. Nuestros antepasados NUNCA practicaron sacrificios humanos, antropofagia, y politeismo. Estas mentiras estaban hechos por los invasores soldados para deshumanizar y demoniazar nuestra gente para que los atrocidades que ellos hicieron como: violaciones de mujeres, tortura, asesinatos, y genocidio en el nombre de su religion, su "Dios", y su avaricidad haci puede ser justificado. Nuestra objetivo es para darle a nuestra gente una oportunidad para aprender de nuestra cultura, via libros, videos, musica, conferencias, ceremonias, y exhibiciones que esta enfocado en nuestra herencia autoctona, sus fuerzas, riquezas, sabiduria, y belleza. Nuestro objetivo es para disputar, disipar, y refutir las mentiras, misinformacion, y misconcepciones que estan usada para mantener a nosotros en un sentido demoralizado hecho por ideas negativas de nosotros y nuestra cultura. Tambien vamos a enfocar en las contribuciones al mundo y a la sociedad que nuestros antepasados, pasado y presente, han hecho. En celebrando nuestra antecedentes nativo, nosotros como una comunidad deberiamos usar este conocimento como un motivacion positivo, especialmente para nuestra juventud. Facultarizando a nuestra juventud para que ellos se sientan orgulloso que ellos son Mexicanos y tambien son gente indigena. Haci ellos pueden representar la comunidad Mexicano como profesionales y contribudadores activos a la sociedad moderna. No puediamos cambiar el pasado pero puediamos tener un impacto mas grande en la futura y la futura de nuestros ninos cuando celebramos nuestra Herencia Indigena.
We at Huey Tlahtokan-La Gran Palabra © are striving to present a site for our people looking for information detailing our history, identity, philosophy, and consciousness by supporting, discussing, and defending our Indigenous Mexican Culture and Identity. Our true history has been denied to us for over 512 years. During that time many lies, misinformation, and misconceptions have cast Mexicans, as Indigenous People, in a negative light. Our Mexica or Azteca, Purepecha, Mixteco, Zapoteco, Mayan, and Olmec ancestors, to name a few, were among the first to create elaborate cities, universities, libraries, hospitals, zoos, and botanical gardens. They excelled in the Arts & Sciences and had a vast knowledge of Medicine. They invented the wheel and the concept of zero, and many other things that have not, and may not ever, be given credit for. They never practiced Human Sacrifice, Cannibalism, or Polytheism. These lies were generated by the invading soldiers to dehumanize and demonize our people so that their own atrocities such as rape, torture, murder, and genocide in the name of their religion, their "God", and their greed could be justified. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for our people to learn about our true culture via books, videos, music, lecture series, ceremonies, and exhibitions that focus on our indigenous heritage its strength, its richness, wisdom, and beauty. Our mission is to dispute, dispel, and refute the current lies, misinformation, and misconceptions used to keep us in a demoralized state by providing us with negative views of ourselves and our culture. We will also focus on the contributions our ancestors, both past and present, have made to the world and society as a whole. In celebrating our native background we as a community must use this knowledge as a positive motivational tool for ourselves, but most importantly for our youth. So that they can excel in academics, social responsibility, and cultural awareness. Empowering our youth to take pride in being both Indigenous and Mexican and representing the Mexican community as both modern day professionals and active contributors to modern day society. We may not be able to change the past but we can have a greater impact on the future and the future of our children by celebrating our Indigenous Heritage.
